Why are the slides HTML and not PDF?

HTML slides are searchable, work on any device, can hold live code and be corrected centrally. If you want a PDF you can export one yourself from any deck in a few clicks — see the course guide on your course site.

How do I get into a course site?

Course sites are password-protected. The login is announced to enrolled students through the course’s own channels. There is one shared login per course.

I am not enrolled — can I see the material?

The course sites are for enrolled students. The teaching philosophy and infrastructure are public here, and openly licensed material is collected under Resources.

Can I reuse your material?

Yes, within the licenses: content under CC BY-SA 4.0, code under MIT, with attribution. Some figures come from third parties and are not mine to relicense — those are marked where they appear.

What software do the practicals use?

Open, reproducible environments (Python and bioconda tools, pinned with pixi). Everything needed is specified per course; nothing proprietary is required.
